Bellefonte Area School District is currently accepting applications for a Full Time Autistic Support Teacher at Bellefonte Elementary.
Candidates should possess a true passion for serving special education students who may experience communication, cognitive, and behavioral challenges. Applicants should have demonstrated success in creating an engaging, rigorous, and relevant learning experience for students, and designing individual instruction to meet the academic, functional, and behavioral needs of students. Must have the ability to work collaboratively with other professionals and establish positive relationships with colleagues, parents, and students.
The successfull candidate will be required to participate in professional development activities related to Applied Behavior Analysis, and other trainings related to supporting students with complex needs.
Recent graduates are welcome to apply. Attachment of PRAXIS and Letter of Eligibility from graduating college/university is required in lieu of PA Certificate until actual PA Certificate is available.
